1. Agreement for Repair
1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) apply to any repair service (“Service”) provided by FoneDaddy for your smartphone, tablet, computer, or accessories (“Device”) as referenced on the repair check-in form.
1.2 References to “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to FoneDaddy. References to “you” and “your” refer to the customer listed on the check-in form.
2. General Repair Terms
2.1 This Agreement begins when you sign the service check-in form and continues until your Device is repaired or returned and all due payments are settled.
2.2 We will use reasonable efforts, parts availability permitting, to repair your Device with care and professional skill.
2.3 We offer both high-quality after-market and OEM (genuine) parts where available.
2.4 For Apple devices, genuine Apple parts and Apple-authorized diagnostics, tools, and processes are used where specified.
2.5 We perform pre-repair tests. If testing isn’t possible without your Device passcode, and you prefer to keep it private, we may delay the Service until you return to complete final checks.
2.6 Any completion times provided are estimates only and not binding. Board-level (Level 3) repairs may require 5+ business days.
2.7 If the repair cannot proceed, or additional costs arise, we will notify you before continuing. If no fault is found or you decline the revised quote, a diagnostic fee may apply.
2.8 Disassembly may be necessary and could expose or worsen pre-existing damage. We are not liable for such outcomes.
2.9 Repair pricing is based on our published standard rates and is subject to change.
2.10 Diagnostics are non-refundable.
2.11 You will be contacted when your Device is ready for collection. Uncollected Devices are stored at our central warehouse, and delivery from the warehouse is chargeable. Devices unclaimed after 56 days may be recycled.
2.12 We reserve the right to retain your Device until all charges are paid, and to apply storage fees where applicable.
2.13 By using our Service, you agree that any removed parts may be retained and recycled responsibly.
2.14 Our repairs may void your manufacturer’s warranty. To avoid this, visit your original manufacturer.
2.15 Warranty seals will be applied to repaired Devices. Tampering with these voids the FoneDaddy warranty.
2.16 Repairs are covered under warranty against part failure only—not accidental or liquid damage. Liquid-damaged Devices receive a 3-month parts warranty.
2.17 Warranty is linked to your Device (via IMEI/serial number) and you (the customer). It covers only the original issue repaired.
2.18 Warranty becomes void if the Device changes ownership or if seals are broken.
2.19 Warranty applies only to UK-based customers.
2.20 Travel, courier, or postage costs are not covered under warranty.
2.21 We are not responsible for issues caused by previous repairs or existing conditions (e.g., Touch Disease, damaged flex cables) found during the repair.
2.22 We do not accept responsibility for liquid-damaged Devices that deteriorate during or after repair.
2.23 If new liquid-related issues arise under warranty, we’ll reassess, re-quote, or offer a refund (excluding diagnostic fee).
2.24 Post-repair water resistance cannot be guaranteed.
2.25 If any part is damaged during repair, we will replace it with a high-quality non-OEM alternative.
2.26 iPhones may show an “Important Display Message” after screen replacements (models iPhone 11 Pro and up). This does not affect functionality.
2.27 Please inspect your Device upon collection. Raise any concerns before leaving the store.
2.28 For parts requiring order, full payment is required upfront. This is non-refundable.
2.29 Only one promotional offer may be applied per transaction. Offers must be redeemed at point of sale.
2.30 For courier services, you must package your Device securely. Return packaging will be provided by FoneDaddy.
2.31 If a refund is requested, we reserve the right to reverse repairs and retain parts. Original parts may not be returned but a like-for-like part will be used.
3. Refurbished Devices
3.1 Refurbished devices come with a 14-day return window for any reason if returned in original condition. After this period, only warranty-related returns are accepted.
3.2 All refurbished Devices include a 12-month warranty. Faulty devices may be replaced or refunded. Replacements do not extend the original warranty term.
3.3 Online purchases must follow our online returns process. In-store purchases must be returned to the original store.
4. Liability
4.1 Our liability for any claim related to our Services is limited to one of the following at our discretion:
Re-supplying the Service
Covering the cost of re-supplying the Service
Refunding the service fee in exchange for returning your Device to its prior state
4.2 If we damage your Device beyond repair, we will replace it with a fully functioning refurbished device of similar model, condition, and value. Full payment must have been received and the original device will be retained by FoneDaddy.
4.3 We are not responsible for lost or corrupted data. Please back up your Device before handing it over.
4.4 In the event of loss or theft while in our possession, we will provide a like-for-like replacement within a reasonable timeframe.
4.5 Nothing in this section excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, statutory rights, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
4.6 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as business interruption, lost profits, or transportation costs.
4.7 Claims must be made within 3 months of becoming aware of the issue.
4.8 For Central Workshop repairs involving logic board work, success is not guaranteed. If repair fails, we will refund your payment. These repairs come with a 1-month limited warranty.
5. Data Protection
5.1 We collect your details to manage your repair and provide after-sales support. With your consent, we may contact you about promotions. See our Privacy Policy for more.
6. General
6.1 We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control.
6.2 A failure to enforce our rights doesn’t mean we waive them.
6.3 This Agreement is the full understanding between you and us regarding your repair.
6.4 Any amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties.
6.5 If any part of this Agreement is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.
6.6 This Agreement does not confer rights on any third parties.
6.7 This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by English courts.
Declaration
By authorising repair through FoneDaddy, you confirm that you’ve read, understood, and accept these Terms & Conditions. You also confirm that you’ve reviewed and agreed to the Device condition recorded at check-in and will inspect your Device at the time of collection.
